2 Boholanos elected CBCP top officials

At the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center, two Boholanos were elected top officials of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). They are: Zamboanga Archbishop Romulo Valles of Maribojoc town, and Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes, born in Loboc town. Valles sits for Mindanao while Bastes is for Luzon.

Tagbilaran Bishop Leonardo Medroso was also elected as permanent council members for the Visayas. Also newly elected CBCP President, Tandag, Surigao del Sur Bishop Nereo Odchimar claims his roots hail from Guindulman, Bohol.
