The Malacanang is much interested in focuding more on policies and programs that attend to the economy rather than focus on politics in th e upcoming 2010 elections.
According to Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Anthony Golez, that the election is too far away to focus. It is more important to focus on the economy due to the effects of the global crisis and find ways to slow down these effects.
Malacanang adds that the focus will be on the poor and and how to stabilize the economy as the poor is the one greatly affected by it.
As such, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo decrees to her Cabinet members to come up with livelihood programs aside from the programs that have been used already.
