Skills and jobs mismatch? Try for work option

Insulating the most vulnerable sectors of the country from the global economic crisis, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has intended to keep the workers sector going to gain buying power. This will all be through a skills retooling training, courtesy of the government.

Over this, the government has invested in human capital, one of which is to put up the Pangulong Gloria Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Bohol provincial director, Dr. Francisca R. Opog, urged unemployed workers to go for skills retooling to finally land them into the jobs they need.

Funded by the President, in cooperation with TESDA and infused by the congressional funds, student applicants can get the scholarship programs after applying at the school’s where the scholarship can be availed, the TESDA office or at the local congressional offices. (rachiu/PIA)
