The Pag-IBIG Fund is extending its penalty exemption to delinquet employers on or before December 31, 2009. It recently called upon all employers to remit all mandated membership contributions of their employees and their own counterpart to its office.
RA 9679, the new Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) law of 2009, extends the condonation of penalty to delinquent employers, unregistered, have been denied registration but not yet started registration and those who have earlier applied for waiver from fund coverage.
The penalties, however, shall be exacted upon the employers if they violated the approved plan of payment either by default or short remittance. (PIA)
