Asus Philippines has finally launched the latest edition to the Eee PC series yesterday, July 29, 2008. Its suggested retail price will be somewhere around Php 30,000.
Its specs include the following:
10″ screen at 1280 × 720 screen resolution,
Intel Atom 1.6GHz,
WiFi 802.11n,
Bluetooth 2.0,
1 – 2 GB DDR RAM,
1.3 MP webcam,
20GB – 40GB SSD drive,
Hi-definition Audio,
6-cell battery (4.2 – 8 hrs),
1.33 kg, Windows XP or GNU Linux OS, and
95% of standard notebook keyboard size.
The latest Asus EeePC edition will be coming out in 6 shiny colors: Red, Green, Black, Peony White, Pearl White and Fine Ebony.
While MSI’s answer to the Asus Eee PC is the MSI Wind. The MSI Wind U100 is already on display at a store in a mall in Manila (SM City San Lazaro). This latest edition of the MSI Wind series is priced at Php 25, 000. Its specs include the following:
GHz Intel Atom processor,
1 GB of RAM,
2.5-inch HDD or SSD,
10-inch WXGA LED backlighted display,
80GB of memory,
Bluetooth,
Wi-Fi,
a 1.3 megapixel cam,
3-cell battery pack (7-hour battery life), and
can be in Linux or Windows operating systems.
