BFP to acquire 100 fire trucks for RP

The Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) is set to acquire 100 units of fire trucks nationwide. This is to prevent further fire incidence, loss of lives and properties.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ronaldo V. Puno said that this is one of the priority programs during his stint as DILG chief.

In 2004, his program was made by the BFP as their basis in procuring fire trucks. In 2007, BFP has started procuring 37 fire trucks, 65 in 2008, and for this year, 100 units are being programmed to be procured, he added. (PIA)
