MANILA, May 13 (PIA)–Giisa karong adlawa sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) ang La Niña Watch agi og pag-awhag sa mga ahensiya sa gobyerno sa pagpangandam sa nagsingabot nga climate pattern nga binali sa nasinati nato karong El Niño.

Matud pa ni Deliles, epektibo gihapon ang gun ban taman Hunyo 8, 2016, 30 ka adlaw human sa eleksyon o pagtapos sa election period nga nagsugod niadtong Enero 10, 2016.
Bisan natapos na ang piniliay niadtong Mayo 9, bawal gihapon ang pagdala ug pag-byahe sa mga pusil ug uban pang maka-patay nga mga armas sa mga pampublikong lugar, lisensyado man o dili.
Posibleng mabilanggo sa dili mo-ubos sa usa ka tuig apan dili molapas sa unom ka tuig ang dili mosunod sa election gun ban.

The startling efforts that the Aquino Administration devoted to deny the eventual election of Rodrigo Duterte is embellished with shameless lousiness creditable only to a study body government.
Amateurish, blatant and foolishly trademarked, the demolition charges emblazon the seal of the incompetent, if these were any complement at all.
And it would possibly take an idiot with an oversized degree in illogic not to make the connection every time the hand from the residence beside the river.
Not that the conduct of the automated elections was any question at all.
In fact, the talks about cheating, another student body fixture, vanished with the massive throng of crowd frequenting Duterte’s rallies.
For who would, in the right frame of mind, mess with the the brewing discontent of the crowd that has launched a barrage of fire drawing blood and ire defending their mayor.
So cheating the mayor was courting disaster. And yet, somebody has to be in the house when the cleaning starts or else the skeletons in the closet just tumble out.
Talks of Plan B slithered out because beating the mayor by any as venomous as getting bitten by the scourge of a nation.
So when the counting of votes started and the chosen one started to lag, everyone knew she dragged a luggage as heavy as a band of crocs in a yellow cabbie.
And then, by some eagle eyes tracking the turn-out, something just looks and acts funny.
Beginning at 8:00, the lady with a baggage started to amass a uniform number of votes; 40 thousand for every percent of vote returns to be precise.
Had there been no talks about plan B, we’d have settled for it. But like, the gradual lead narrowed every minute that the only possible explanation was a programmed command.
And when somebody pointed out that the lead would end with around 200 thousand, that was it.
Yesterday, the Commission on Elections admitted somebody messed with the harsh codes. Incidentally, after tweaking with the program, the votes started coming.
When talks of a recount surface today, that is because people want to know. And people have the right to know.
If, by a recount, the issue of cheating which has become a burden of the administration gets settled, what is the problem with that?
Oh, well, there indeed is that first sign that somewhere, a recount would expose a cheat.
Maybe that is why they’d use all their strength to stop a recount and be caught with a slip again.
Because when that happens, Aquino would rather wish a coup de etat did him than a coup de grace like cheating.

The Department of Trade and Industry’s Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) recently held a series of seminars on Doing Business with the United States (US) for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Manila, Cebu City, and Davao City as part of its Doing Business in Free Trade Areas (DBFTA) program.
Participants including exporters, would-be exporters, businessmen, government agencies, local government units, students and faculty members, and media men, discussed the US market, benefits of the US Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program, and the mainstream US market.
Currently, Philippines is among the 122 beneficiary countries and territories of the US GSP program. The program eliminates duties on about 5,000 types of products when exported to the US. It will allow more local exporters including the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their exports products to the US.
Rose Marie Castillo, Division Chief of EMB-Food and Agri-Marine Division (FAMD), emphasized the competitiveness of Filipino products especially in the areas of electronics, fresh and processed food, design-driven products, garments, personal care products, and information technology (IT)-enabled services.
“To keep up with the demands of the US market, one must know the trends that affect consumer choices. At present, Americans are very cautious of their health. They tend to opt for healthier and organic snacks which are convenient and readily available,” she said.
Nicholas Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asia Etc., a marketing company specializing in sourcing producers and manufacturers of food products in Asia and introducing them in the US marketplace, discussed the various market opportunities in the US for FMCGs. Stressing on the importance of knowing the US market, he advised exporters to invest in improving product packaging, consider online selling or retailing like Amazon or Kroger, ensure product standards and safety.
“Nobody starts out big. You just have to work hard and concentrate on it and perhaps spend some amount of money and it will be all worth it,” he said.
Existing and prospective participants had a one-on-one consultation with Johnson right after the info session where they were given specific pieces of advice on exporting to the US.
DBFTA is EMB’s initiative to increase the awareness of Filipinos regarding the benefits of free trade agreements (FTAs) and generalized schemes of preferences (GSPs).
