The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is urging the entire electorate to vote for Mother Earth. This is in line with the forthcoming Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening. The “world’s first global election”, it asks to switch off all lights on the aforementioned date.
Comelec Spokesperson James Arthur Jimenez explained that everyone’s participation is part of the campaign against the growing threat of global warming.
Meanwhile, the Earth Hour news disclosed that over 74 countries and territories worldwide have signified their commitment to “VOTE EARTH” during the Earth Hour and that the number is growing by the day. (PIA)
