PO1 Michael June Ejoc died of a gunshot wound to the head while three other policemen were wounded in a botched intelligence operation against a known drug personality in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
A team of six operatives from the Bohol Provincial Police Office was verifying a tip of a pot session in Barangay Poblacion I, Tagbilaran City. They went to a house of a certain Belinda Tesorero in Sitio Ubos at 9:30 a.m.
A drug suspect, who is on the wanted list of BPPO, Artemio “Junjun” Tari Jr. was inside the house and used a .45 pistol suddenly to fire at the victims. He fled the scene on a motorcycle. Tesorero was taken into custody and a search of the house yielded packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
