The Civil Service Commission (CSC) urged all government agencies and local government units (LGUs) to submit anti-red tape programs to the Anti-Red Tape Task Force before June 16.
CSC has already released the names of 250 agencies nationwide that have completed their Citizens Charters, installed public help desks and began to crack down on fixers.
The Citizens Charter identifies the front-line services offered, the step-by-step procedures, the employee responsible for each procedure, the amount of fees, the documents to be presented by the client and the procedure of filing complaints in relation to the requests or applications.
Provinces cited as exemplars in front-line service delivery include La Union, Cavite, Camarines Sur, Bohol, Bukidnon, Northern Samar, Cotabato, Agusan Del Sur and Maguindanao. (PIA)
