The illegal sewerage connections of private establishments along CPG Avenue were finally sealed last Wednesday to ensure that the controversial outfall at Graham Avenue will be free of contamination.
Gov. Erico Aumentado personally inspected the water outfall site last Tuesday which showed much cleaner water. He ordered PENRO Nestor Canda to get samples for another laboratory test at the regional DENR laboratory in Cebu City.
Canda said after opening the manholes along the avenue, a total of 31 illegally opened sewerage outlets were sealed by the combined DENR-DPWH team ordered by DENR Regional Director Leonardo Siballuca who expressed concern on the polluted seawaters fronting the City Port.
