DAR sets 8th Agraryo Trade Fair

The Department of Agrarian Reform – Bureau of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development (BARBD) and ARB Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Development Program (AREDP) will hold the 8th Agraryo Trade Fair at the SM Megatrade Hall from June 3-7, 2009. This is in celebration of the extension of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). The said event is also in partnership with the Philippines fruit and vegetables industry.

The theme for the upcoming fair is “Enterprising Agrarian Reform Communities: Creating Jobs, Empowering Farmers and Ensuring Food Safety.” The trade fair will be showing the various produce of the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from all over the country to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

This year’s fair will also launch a Festival of Communities such as competitions that will showcase the benefits using the arts as medium, market/investment matching session, cooking demonstrations, photo exhibits of DAR’s programs and projects, and seminars on product development and market trends.
