BOHOL, June 18 (PIA)–Ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Rehiyon 7 pinaagi sa Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) migahin og P10 milyon alang sa dairy production project sa lima ka lungsod sa Bohol.
Kining proyekto naglambigit sa mga carabao-based small dairy production, milk collection ug raw milk pasteurization alang sa 500 ka Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) partner-beneficiaries, matud pa ni DSWD-7 Regional Director Mercedita Jabagat.
Dugang pa ni Jabagat nga ang mga gi-ilang pilot areas alang sa dairy commodity cluster model project mao ang mga lungsod sa Ubay, Mabini, Alicia, San Miguel ug Dagohoy.
“The pilot areas are considered as bright spot in dairy farming and to further strengthen the local dairy industry we tied up with the Philippine Carabao Center and in coordination with the Provincial Government of Bohol,” matud pa sa opisyal sa social welfare and development.
Ubos sa maong partnership, ang gi-ilang benepisyaryo sa 4Ps bansayon sa carabao dairy micro-enterprise development.
Ang kada benepisyaryo hatagan og usa ka kabaw aron sila makasugod sa ilang kaugalingong negosyo.
Ang Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) mohatag og technical assistance kalabot sa animal production, animal health, forage production, dairy production ug processing.
Usa ka technical working group nga gilangkoban sa mga tinugyanan gikan sa DSWD-7, PCC-7 ug local government units (LGUs) ang mopahigayon og regular monitoring ug evaluation aron pagseguro nga mulahotay ang maong programa. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol/DSWD7)
