Gov. Erico B. Aumentado, together with PhilHealth President and CEO Rey B. Aquino, signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for free health insurance for poor Boholanos during the Carlos P. Garcia Day celebration.
Sponsored Program members enjoy free health insurance coverage for a year through national and local government insurance premium subsidies and sponsorships of private entities. With this health insurance coverage, poor families can avail of medical services in PhilHealth accredited hospitals and non-hospital facilities at a reduced cost, similar to the benefits available to all other PhilHealth members.
Sponsored members also enjoy a special outpatient benefit package for preventive care in rural health units or health centers accredited to provide the services under the package. (pia/phic)
