The Presidential Assistant for Electrification Fr. Francisco Silva noted that the administration of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has the highest rate of barangays energized compared to the past three administrations. This was disclosed in a Malacanang press report.
The report further disclosed that the Arroyo administration has also extended the biggest ever financial assistance of P5.2 billion to the electric cooperatives nationwide.
Currently, some 3.3 million barangays in the country are now energized. (PIA)
