Herrera dares congressmen: Publish your funded projects

Vice Governor Julius Caesar Herrera dares representatives to publish their funded projects in the full spirit of transparency.

He said every Congressman is entitled to P70 million in pork barrel funds annually, a fact that makes each town in Bohol eligible to at least P5M annually or at least P45M in a full congressman’s term.

People have the right to know what these projects are, where they are located, and how the people have benefited from them.

Many have not discounted that aside from possible double-funded projects, some money go to bribery, which a recent Transparency International report says, costing the country at least p100M a year. (PIA)
