The Regional Trial Court judges should keep their distance from local officials. This was the statement said by Atty. Victor de la Serna. He adds that the Supreme Court must continue with the policy that the judges will be assigned in other towns and not in their hometowns. A few years ago, this was implemented where Boholano judges were assigned in other towns while judges from other towns were assigned here. But now in this time, it is not implemented. Judges are now assigned in their own hometowns.
