MANILA, July 15 (PIA)–Napili si Major General Eduardo Año isip ika-57 nga commanding general sa Philippine Army (PA).
Gihulipan ni Año si Lt. Gen. Hernando Iriberri nga gibutang usab ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III isip bag-ong mamuno sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Si Año ni-alagad isip pangulo sa 10th Infantry Division sa Philippine Army nga maoy responsable sa pagkapatay sa commander sa New People’s Army (NPA) nga si Leoncio Pitao alyas ‘Kumander Parago’.
Nahitabo ang engkwentro niadtong Hunyo 28 sa Barangay Panalong sa Paquibato District sa Davao City.
Si Año usab ang hepe sa Intelligence Service sa Armed Forces sa dihang ma-aresto sa hinugpong nga pwersa sa militar ug polis silang Benito ug William Tiamson sa Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP). (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
