The Asian Development Bank (ADB) recently launched My Video, an Asia-Pacific climate change video competition. Its aim is to promote awareness of climate change, stimulate debate, and encourage climate change solutions.
Anyone who is a citizen of any one of ADB’s 67 member countries who is interested in climate change may join. Not eligible to compete are the ADB employees and their family members.
A contestant must make 1 to 5 minute digital film about climate change in Asia and the Pacific. The film may be in digital video format, the use of mobile phone is allowed. Films in any genre are accepted, including but not limited to animation, documentary, drama, experimental, art, testimonial, etc.
The contestant must upload his or her video on YouTube or Youku.com. The contestant must tag his video with “ADB climate change.” The YouTube user must join the ADB Climate Change YouTube group and submit the video entry on the group. Youku users must fill out the simple online registration form.
All entries must be submitted by January 31, 2010. Videos submitted after this deadline will not be considered for prizes. (PIA)
