CSC extends application deadline for April 2013 examination

THE deadline of application for the April 14 Career Service Professional and Sub-Professional written examinations is extended from February 28, 2013 to March 5, 2013. This was announced by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office to give more time for applicants who aim to earn Civil Service eligibility and be qualified to work in the government. Applicants for both levels of examination may still submit their application forms to any CSC Regional and Field offices nationwide. However, application may be closed any time before March 5, 2013 in some CSC Regional/Field Offices which have reached their quota. Application requirements are as follows: 1. Properly accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2012 available at any CSC Regional/Field Office, or may be downloaded from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph); 2. Four pieces of recently taken (not more than three months ago) ID pictures with the following specifications: Passport-sized (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm); Colored with white background; In standard close-up shot (from shoulder level up with the head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag positioned at approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm below the chin); In bare face (without eye glasses, or any accessory that may cover facial features); Showing left and right ears; In full-face view directly facing the camera with neutral facial expression and both eyes open; and with handwritten (not computer-generated) name tag showing the applicant’s signature over printed full name (first name, middle initial, last name and extension name, if any); 3. KALSADA Program to be launched in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Jan. 06 (PIA)–The P6.5-billion project dubbed as KALSADA, one of the biggest nationally-funded projects will be officially launched here on Friday, January 8. Konkreto at Ayos na Lansangan at Daan Tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran (KALSADA), is an innovative devolution program that aims to institutionalize good governance by enabling and shepherding local government units on Local Road Management, according to Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Florencio Abad. The program will rehabilitate and upgrade provincial roads and transfer these road assets permanently to the provincial government, which will maintain them. The program will also develop the Provincial Road Network Development Plan (PRNDP) for each province and promote the use of an online open data portal as a mechanism for monitoring and evaluating the provincial roads. Provinces were selected based on their compliance with the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping and submission to the DBM of their Local Public Financial Management Assessment Report. The P6.5 billion fund has a breakdown per province according to a formula that considers performance and need scores such as previous provincial utilization of SLRF and provincial road network length of the provinces that have complied with the requirements for consideration. Abad, Secretary Jose Singson of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and DILG officials will lead the ceremony at 4:00 in the afternoon at the Dagohoy Room of Bohol Tropics Resort, this City.
