    TAGBILARAN CITY, Abril 11 (PIA)–Gipahinumdoman sa Department of Health (DOH) ang publiko batok sa mga sakit nga kasagarang makuha matag panahon sa ting-init, human pormal nang gi-deklarar sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) ang panahon sa ting-init sa nasod.   Sa abiso sa DOH, miingon kini nga usa sa mga sakit nga angay likayan karon nga inanay nga pag-init sa panahon mao ang heat stroke nga mahimong makamatay. PH gets Chinese companies’ investment pledges worth USD 9.8 B

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) welcomed USD 9.8 billion-worth of investment intentions from Chinese companies that will cover the construction, electronics, agriculture, tourism, and pharmaceutical sectors, and will provide an estimated 10,800 employment opportunities. “Investments are important in bringing more job opportunities for all Filipinos. Our bilateral cooperation with China continues to deepen and strengthen. We have agreed to discuss cooperation plans for the next five or even up to 10 years to move forward in specific fields,” said President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. “As one of the world’s top investment destinations, the Philippines enjoys the confidence of foreign direct investors. And due to our enhanced bilateral and trade relations with China, Chinese companies have increasingly expressed interest in investing in our country,” added Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez. The President witnessed the signing of nine Letters of Intent (LOI) from the following companies: Shanghai GeoHarbour Group, Jovo Group Co. Ltd. Guangdong, Zhongfa Group, Haocheng Group, China Green Agriculture Group, East-Cloud Biz Travel Ltd., China National Heavy Machinery Corporation, Sino BMG, as well as Shanghai Shinehigh Biotechnology Ltd. Co. and Zhejiang Dongyang Jinxin Chemical Co. Ltd. The signings were held at the sidelines of the Boao Forum 2018 held in Boao, China on 10 April. The total approved investments from China grew by 53.61% from Php 1.52 billion in 2016 to Php 2.33 billion in 2017. DTI-DOST to expand MSME marketing capabilities through OneSTore.ph

  The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will tie up with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) expand their market and reach clients online with the OneSTore.ph.   “MSMEs are the backbone of the Philippine economy. And as part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s whole-of-government approach to assist MSMEs, we are teaming up with DOST to impact the lives of more Filipino entrepreneurs,” said DTI Secretary Ramon M. ARCHBISHOP AUZA CALLS FOR PATIENCE In Church Restoration Project

The stakeholders for the restoration of the Holy Cross Church of Maribojoc remained undaunted despite the pronouncement of His Excellency Archbishop Barney Auza that it takes years to achieve the project. He said whatever losses the people suffered, we must thank God they are still alive. He said the people of Maribojoc must rejoice and help each other in rebuilding the colonial church despite the expected substantial toll in time, money and effort. The Boholano Archbishop who is the Vatican Representative to the United Nations spoke during the turn-over ceremony of a $30,000 grant for the restoration of the main Altar or retablo of the church. Margaret Lacson Ecarma, Executive Director, Bohol Restoration Group, in Washington DC turnover the check to Dr. Jaime Laya, Chairman, Escuela de Taller de Pilipinas based in Manila. The amount will be used by Escuela de Taller to train out of school youths of Maribojoc who will be tasked to assist in the restoration of the church. The youths will be trained in masonry, carpentry, sculpture, and metal working, some of the almost forgotten skills of the Filipinos. Career service exam applications extended Civil Service Exam applications extended

TAGBILARAN CITY, Feb. 05 (PIA)–The Civil Service Commission extends the deadline for the filing of applications for the April 17 Career Service Examination, Paper-and-Pencil Test to February 26, 2016. The Civil Service Commission CSC said that the filing period, which initially was set until February 25, is extended in light of the declaration of February 25, 2016 as a Special Non-Working Holiday throughout the country in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution. The Career Service Examination is open to Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application. While applicants may continuously take the examinations regardless of the number of times failed, the CSC stressed that the same level of examination should be taken once in every three months. With this condition, applicants for the April 17, 2016 examinations must not have taken the same level of the examination since January 17, 2016. Applications must be filed personally at the CSC Bohol Provincial Office located at Dampas District, this city. The CSC reminds that acceptance of application is on a first-come, first-served basis, adding that it may be closed earlier than February 26 once the allotted number of examinees had been reached. Traffic incidents rev 2015 crimes up 17%

TAGBILARAN CITY, January 30, (PIA)—Total crime volume in 2005 increased by 17% or 1314 cases over 2013 which only had 7904 over this years 9218, crime data from Camp Dagohoy showed. Of the increase however, traffic related incidents swallowed a huge pie, accounting for 30% of the increase. Interestingly, index crimes like theft and robbery, which get occasionally reported in radio reports, earned lower cases in 2015, with 26 theft cases lass in 2015 and 127 robbery cases less than in 2015. Murder also is 2 cases less in 2015 than the previous year while homicide in 2015 is 9 cases less than last years 2014, the same data reported at the Provincial Peace and Order Council Meeting last January 28 bared. The increase in index crimes however were noted in physical injuries which had 136 cases more last year, car-napping with 22 cases more, rape had 13 cases over 2014 and cattle rustling showed 11 cases past last 2014. In the non-index crime tally, Camp Dagohoy crime statisticians noted 1296 cases more in 2015 over the previous year; this amounts to 30% increase in total non index crime volume. Special laws violations in 2015 reached 94 cases more or 1724 cases in 2015 as against 1630 in 2014, and other non-index crimes surpassed 2014’s tally with 1615, or 504 case over the 1111 cases logged in 2014. Almost half of the non-index crime volume however were incidents that involve traffic in its forms: driving under the influence of liquor, reckless driving, over-speeding and similar violations.
