Partnerships key to fighting hunger, says WFP on World Food Day

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) highlighted the critical importance of forging partnerships with Government and the private sector to find hunger solutions for conflict-affected areas of Mindanao. This is in motion to the celebration of World Food Day tomorrow (October 16).

WFP works closely with numerous partners in the Philippines to implement projects aimed at improving livelihoods. These partners will join WFP and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) during four days of activities to mark World Food Day on October 16, the FAO”s founding date in 1945.

This year’s theme is ‘Achieving Food Security in Times of Crisis”. (WFP)
