Matud pa ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Kalihim Herminio Coloma Jr. nga niadtong Hulyo 8 gilagdaan ni PNoy ang Proclamation No. 1071 nga nag-deklarar sa maong adlaw isip special non-working holiday sa tibuok nasud.
Ang EDSA People Power Commission ang nihangyo kang PNoy nga himuong holiday ang Peb. 25, 2016.
