Compared to other administrations her government has built more infrastructure projects with the end goal of attracting more foreign investments into the country and strengthening the tourism industry as a driver for economic development. This was the statement of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo told Boholanos during the 155th Bohol Foundation Day at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City this morning where she was the guest of honor.
Among the mega local infrastructure projects she mentioned are the Bohol Circumferential Road Project, Panglao International Airport, RORO (roll-on roll-off) ports and the Bohol Irrigation Phase II Project.
Prior to her message, Pres. Arroyo was conferred by local officials of Bohol led by Gov. Erico Aumentado the Datu Sikatuna Award of Excellence “Pasidungog Nga Wa’y Makatupong” (Highest Recognition). (PIA/FCR)
