TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Jan. 21 (PIA)–GISEGURO karon sa Malakanyang nga gobyerno sa Pilipinas ang manguna ug in-charge sa salvage operations sa US ship nga misangad sa Tubbataha Reef sa Sulu Sea.
Matud pa ni Transportation Sec. Jun Abaya, adunay sakop sa Philippine Coast Guard, mga puwersa sa Pilipinas ang motimon ug magpatuman og plano sa US Navy.
Si Abaya nagkanayon nga gawas sa mga barko sa Philippine Coast Guard ug Philippine Navy, naa na usab sa palibot ang uban pang barko sa Estados Unidos sama sa missile guided destroyer, command and patrol ship sa Palawan ug reserve naval ship.
Sa pagkakaron, giingong prayoridad sa gobyerno nga makuha ang USS Guardian sa dili pa ipahigayon ang imbestigasyon kun nganong nahitabo ang pagkasangad niini.
“There are two civilian tugboats commissioned by the US government to assist in the area; a guided missile destroyer. Basically, the command-and-control ship of the US Navy is likewise in the Palawan area. There is a naval reserve ship also in the area to provide assistance and a naval reserve ship about to arrive on the 24th which is basically the reserve ship whose function is for salvaging other ships of the US Navy,” matud pa ni Abaya.
