President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo assured that the pro-poor programs of her administration will be sustained especially if Congress will pass a bill institutionalizing the program.
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a cash grant of P6,000 a year or P500 per month per household-beneficiary for health and nutrition expenses and P3,000 for one school year or 10 months per child for educational expenses for a maximum of three children per household.
This provides temporary relief for the beneficiaries in order to sustain the nutritional requirements and assured that children enrolled will finish the school year. (PIA)
