RP to hold more job summits overseas

After the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines is eying East Asia for its next job summit to expand opportunities for laid off OFWs.

Around 222,000 job openings have been identified which include demands for hotel, restaurant, tourism and hospitality industries; services of engineers; accountants, sales personnel, clerical and sales services; agriculture workers; and production process workers.

These employment opportunities will be posted by DOLE in its website.

Government, through TESDA, is offering training and scholarships to help OFWs qualify in the job openings. (PIA-MMIO)
