The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), disclosed that the Philippines through the BSP will be hosting an international research conference on remittances on March 30 to 31 this year.
The two-day conference will bring together not only international and regional policymakers but also central bankers, academics and researchers. The objective of the assembly is to discuss current research on the impact of remittances on the Philippine economy as well as their implications for policymaking, with special focus on the Asian region.
The conference will revolve around the theme “The Macroeconomic Consequences of Remittances: Implications for Monetary and Financial Policies in Asia”. (PIA)
