Saudi Arabia needs 2,000 Muslim nurses

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) disclosed that there is a current job opening for 2,000 Muslim nurses in Saudi Arabian hospitals.

Datu Aladdin Ampatuan, OIC regional administrator, POEA-ARMM said that aside from nurses needed in Medina and Mecca, Saudi Arabia, there is also an unlimited job opening for both Muslim and Christian nurses in the Middle East.

There is also a demand for semi-skilled workers like merchandisers and stockers, he added.

Ampatuan also requested ARMM-TESDA to their intensify their skills training programs to better equipped Filipino workers so that they will be competitive and at par with other countries in vying for jobs abroad. (PIA/Bohol)
