A TROPICAL storm named Parma threatens now to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) anytime between tonight to tomorrow.
Packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometer per hour and with gustiness up to 90 kilometers enough, Parma threatens the country’s eastern sides including Metro Manila.
Seen by forecasters via satellite early morning September 30 at about 1100 kilometers east of Mindanao, the storm is expected to move west-northwest at an average speed of 19 kilometers per hour.
Over this, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) has forewarned residents of areas prone to landslides and floods to be ready with contingency plans in any eventuality. (PIA)
