OFFICIALS of the Cabinet of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s will undergo training on how to conduct themselves better when dealing with the members of the media.
Aquino himself had apologized for Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda and Department of Education Secretary Armin Luistro, who both ticked off some reporters only a few days into their office.
Aquino also asked the members of the media to understand his Cabinet men, who do not have any prior experience on how to deal when being grilled with controversial questions.
Last Thursday, Lacierda missed a scheduled press conference in Malacanang. Reporters were waiting for him for hours on his reaction regarding the administration’s first, but controversial, memorandum circular. Lacierda had already apologized for his gaffe.
Luistro, on the other hand, blamed the media for adding fuel to the fire between the government and the Catholic Church regarding the sex education program.
Aquino stressed Luistro, former president of the De La Salle University, was used to facing students.
He said the people behind his successful campaign will give the seminar to the officials. (PIA-Bohol)

Manila, Philippines – President-elect Noy Noy Aquino is set to name the members of his Cabinet today. One of the members include Cesar Purisima as finance secretary.
The announcement of the Cabinet members is part of the preparation for Aquino’s inauguration tomorrow as the country’s 15th president.
Outgoing Finance Secretary Margarito Teves said he met yesterday with Purisima for a briefing on the condition of the economy. However, Purisima came as a member of the transition team and not as the next finance chief. Some sources however, have confirmed that Purisima has accepted the finance portfolio.

SI Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay dili na interesado sa bisan unsang Cabinet posisyon sa mosunod nga administrasyon, apan ni ingon siya nga iya gihapong suportahan si President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III inig sugod sa ilang pangatungdanan sa Hunyo 30.
Matud pa sa media affairs officer ni Binay nga si Joey Salgado, ang duha nagkita niadtong Miyerkoles atol sa duha ka oras nga meeting sa panimalay ni Aquino sa Times Street, Quezon City, diin gipadayag ni Binay ang iyang hukom nga dili na kini interesado sa bisan unsang Cabinet position aron dili na makasamok sa Presidente ug tugotan kini nga maka focus sa daghang mga hagit nga giatubang sa nasud.
Usa ka reliable source gikan sa kampo ni Aquino ang nagkanayon nga si Binay gitanyagan og posisyon apan ang outgoing Makati mayor nibalibad ug nipadayag hinuon sa iyang suporta kang Aquino. Wala hinuon gibutyag sa tinubdan kon unsang posisyon ang gitanyag kang Binay.
Daan nang nipadayag si Binay nga gusto niyang mamahimong kalihim sa Department of Interior and Local Government kon DILG, apan si Aquino nagduhaduha sa paghatag sa maong posisyon kang Binay. (PIA-Bohol)
