Tampinco named new NAPOCOR President
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has appointed Froilan Tampinco as the new president of the National Power Corp. (Napocor), Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita announced.
Tampinco is the vice president for asset management and electricity trading of Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM).
He replaced outgoing Napocor president Cyril del Callar, who resigned due to health problems.
A career executive, Tampinco has a long experience in public service, Ermita noted. (PIA/Bohol)
