TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 04 (PIA)–Wala gideklarar sa Malacañang nga special non- working holiday ang Hunyo 11 bisan natunong kini sa adlaw nga Lunes isip pagsaulog sa Independence Day sa Hunyo 12 nga natunong sa adlaw nga Martes, nga usa ka regular holiday.
Matud pa ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, magpabilin mismo sa maong adlaw sa Hunyo 12 ang pagsaulog sa “Adlaw sa Kagawasan ” o “Independence Day” sa nasud.
“We will celebrate as it falls so June 12, Tuesday,” matud pa ni Valte.
Kini tungod usab sa Proclamation No. 295, s. 2011, nga nauna nang gilagdaan ni Presidente Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, nga listahan sa mga regular ug legal holiday nga isaulog sa nasud karong tuig 2012.
Kahinumdoman nga wala nisunod si Presidente Aquino sa naandan’g holiday economics ni kanhi Presidente Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, diin gibalhin sa adlaw nga mas duol sa weekend ang mga holiday aron mahatagan ang katawhan og mas taas nga bakasyon. (PIA-Bohol/ecb)

MALACANANG has declared August 29 (Monday) and August 30 (Tuesday) as Non-working holidays throughout the country in relation with the upcoming celebration of the National Heroes’ Day and in observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan).
According to Proclamation No. 234, August 30, 2011 is confirmed to be a Non-Working Holiday in the Philippines for Eid’l Fitr, the celebration of the end of Ramadan which is the Muslim’s holy month of fasting.
The proclamation, which was signed on August 11, this year by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr., was issued in line with the Republic Act No. 9177 that declared Eid’l Fitr or Feast of Ramadhan as a regular holiday throughout the country.
Ramadan started last August 1, 2011 and is set to end on August 30, 2011.
President Benigno S. Aquino III also declared August 29, 2011 which falls on a Monday, also as a regular holiday in celebration of National Heroes Day or Araw ng mga Bayani under Proclamation No. 84.
Another holiday in August is the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21, 2011. The List of Holidays in the Philippines provided that Ninoy Aquino Day will be celebrated on its rightful day.
August 22, 2011 which is the Monday after Ninoy Aquino Day will be a regular working day. (PIA)
