Sandugo photo contest Set for street-dancing

PHOTOGRAPHERS with eye and passion to showcase the unique Boholano culture can just shoot themselves into a competition and laugh their way home with handsome prizes.

This, as a group of photo-enthusiasts here present “PITIK: Tipik Sa Dugong Bol-anon, a photo competition open to Professional and amateur shooting on July 25 and only at the Sandugo 2010 Street-dancing Festival.

The move, is claimed to be the group’s little contribution to promoting Bohol as a major eco-cultural tourism destination by showcasing it’s diverse and colorful culture and advance local creative energies into world-class artistic skill, according to photojournalist and contest organizer Nilo Sapong.

The catch however is, Photos must be taken during the Sandugo street dancing parade and its subjects are the dancers, propsmen, instrumentalists, muses and even onlookers who may well depict the festive street-dancing event and portray a distinctive definition of a Boholano, he said.

According to him, participants can use any digital, including, cell-phones with cameras, or film-based camera to document the action or portraiture and have it developed in size 8R at the entrant’s expense from the competition’s official developing center at the BQ Mall. (PIA-Bohol)
