Human Rights Unlimited Organizes Seminar-Workshop on Family Relations Law
The Human Rights Unlimited Inc., a non-stock non-profit organization based in Cebu City which is established to provide education, training, law reform, advocacy and legal assistance is organizing a Seminar-Workshop on the Law on Family Relations in the Philippines to be held on May 21, 2011 at 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. at the University of Cebu -Banilad Campus for a registration fee of P1,250.00. Early enrollees can avail of the discounted rate of P999.oo if they enroll by May 14, 2011.
The seminar-workshop will discuss laws affecting marriage, children and issues of special concern. The subject on marriage will particularly take up the requisites of marriage, void and voidable marriages, legal separation, the rights and obligation of the husband and wife, and the property relations between them. The part on children will cover paternity and filiation, custody and support and parental authority. Special issues on the use of surname, change of name, cancellation or correction of entry in the civil registry, the salient points of the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act and the Anti-Child Abuse Law shall also be tackled.
