Ang biktima giingong suod ni Mayor Jao
USA ka magtiayon gi-ambush patay sa duha ka wala mailhing armadong lalaki nga pulos nagtabon og sinina sa mga nawong didto sa nasudnong dalan sa barangay Pooc Occidental, Tubigon, Bohol kagahapon sa buntag.
Mga biktima nailhan nga si Alphonseus Boligao, 34, minyo, empleyado sa munisipyo sa Tubigon ug ang iyang asawa nga si Maricor, pulos nagpuyo sa maong lugar.
Si Alphonseus naigo sa iyang likod ug nabugtuan sa iyang kinabuhi dihang gihatud sa Tubigon Community Hospital.
Samtang si Maricor kinsa dunay duha ka samad pinusilan sa iyang likod gidala sa Ramiro Community Hospital sa dakbayan sa Tagbilaran, gideklarang patay na dihang nadangat sa maong tambalanan.
Sa taho sa kapulisan nga samtang ang mga biktima nagsakay sa ilang Toyota Corona kolor pula nga kotse nga may plaka 898-GAR mga alas 10:30 sa buntag gikan sa Du Ek Sam ug padung na mopauli dihang gisabayan og usa ka itom nga Honda XRM nga walay plaka.
Matud ni SPO4 Anecito Alipoyo sa Tubigon Police Station nga giingon nakabantay ang magtiayon sa duka ka suspetsado ug gigugkod apan gipusil kini sa makadaghang higayon.
Nisibat ang mga suspetsado kinsa pulos nakasul-ob og itom nga jacket paingon sa direksiyon didto sa lungsod sa Clarin.
Niingon si Alipoyo nga nakakuha sila og 11 ka basiyong bala ug tulo ka slug sa klaibre .45 nga pistola.

Naka angkon ang duha ug grabeng samad sa ulo ug ubang bahion sa ilang lawas ug gidiklarang patay na sa dihang nadangat sa Tubigon Community Hospital.
Nasayran sa taho nga samtang ang isa ka Titi Transport Bus nga may body number 258 ug plaka numero GVL-419 nga gipanag-iyahan ni Jesus Veloso, taga Catagbacan Sur, Loon, Bohol ug gimanehoan ni Tito Corbeta, 57-anyos, minyo ug nagpuyo sa samang dapit gikan sa Tubigon ug samtang nagparking ang maong sakyanan sa tuong bahin sa kalsada mga 6:35 sa gabii aron mo-drop ug pasahero, kalit na mibangga ang usa ka Honda XRM kolor itom nga motorsiklo nga dunay plaka MC6493KH ug gimanehuan ni Jumamil didto sa sampot sa bus.

TUBIGON, under Mayor Luna Piezas, jumps from its last classification as 3rd to first class town, an achievement that would probably go in local history as rare.
Tubigon shares with Ubay barging into becoming Bohol’s first class towns, a position then solely occupied by Talibon.
Then earning a little less than P44 million four to five years ago, the town’s income leaped astronomically in the past three years to an average of P55 million, reported town treasurer Servanda Salomon.
Records bare that Tubigon has earned an average of P63.361 in the past 3 years, catapulting it to the top position.
On the development, local tax observers see that the dynamic local leadership and its improvement of the town market is instrumental in the increase of income.
While many Tubigon residents speculate about increased taxes to maintain the status, Salomon said that aside from the real property taxes, which they do not have any control, municipal taxes remain the same, or until a new tax ordinance is passed.
“There is no upgrading yet of local taxes, except the real property tax, which is revised every three years, she said.
We are expecting a revision of municipal tax ordinances in 2010, as mandated by the local government code, she added.
Wanting to downplay the fear of tax rate jumps, the town bagman said the biggest impact of the re-classification is increase in paychecks for local employees.
“The reclassification basically affects the salaries of local employees; the salary standardization would now be using the first class bracket following salary standardization,” she bared.
The Bureau of Local Government and Finance (BLGF) in its memorandum of circular no 01-M (15)-08 dated November 20, 2008 has issued the re-classification of Bohol municipalities, effective July 29, 2008.
According to BLGF, class brackets are based on average annual income in three years.
First class towns should have an average of P55M or more, 2nd class towns earning P45M to P54M average.
Third class towns earn P35M to P44M; fourth class: P25M to P34M; fifth class P15M to P24M and sixth class towns earn below P15M. (rachiu/PIA)

EAGERLY awaiting deliberations of the recently wrapped-up Pamilihang Panlalawigan search by the evaluation team, Catigbian residents hope to finally bag the “best market award” this year.
Mayor Roberto Salinas however stressed that it is the unrelenting effort to dispense better service to the people that should an, but winning the provincial feat may come as a huge bonus.
Ranked only second to modern public market in Ubay in 2006, Catigbian pulled one ace off its sleeves when it edged the provincial winner in the regional competitions of that same year.
Bagging the region’s 3rd best market after Bayawan City in Negros and Pardo in Cebu, Catigbian now hopes their public market can finally be recognized as Bohol’s best, a huge feat for a public market that was constructed a few years after the war.
The provincial plum is a version of the Pambansang Pamilihan Search conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Bohol this year.
It is set to motivate public and private run markets to comply with trade rules including price tags, weights and measurements regulations and safety and quality standards, said DTI’s Concordia Erano, in a phone interview recently.
This year, the Bohol search only includes 11 markets, DTI sources said.
Evaluated together with Catigbian in this year’s search for Bohol’s best public markets were Jagna, Guindulman, Ubay, Talibon, Carmen, Inabanga, Tubigon, Loon, Antequera and Tagbilaran City, Erano enumerated.
In Catigbian, market Administrator and assistant municipal treasurer Cresilda Rulida said the town has not ceased innovating its public market since they earned the regional award in 2006.
The administration under Mayor Roberto Salinas has put in the market a better drainage system and revamped the market’s drainage culverts to assure the efficient and unimpeded flow of liquid wastes, further eliminating foul odor, Rulida shared.
The market gathered as much asP1.7M in revenues in 2006 and P1.4 M in 2007, despite the fact that the town livestock income was separately computed in 2007 following its independent operations, municipal records revealed.
In 2007, the town livestock center also netted about P.5M, Information officer Ardissa Estavilla said. (PIA/rachiu)
