The Philippine National Police (PNP) will lead in the observance of the 15th National Crime Prevention Week. Its theme: “Ang Krimen Tapnaon, Pamilya Pabakuron” and will be celebrated starting September 1-7, 2009.
This year’s crime prevention week’s focus will be on the family as a basic institution where crime prevention education and awareness begins. The way parents bring up their children and their lifestyle as a whole, determine to a big extent how a society best deals with criminality.
The PNP’s strong advise to everybody is: to endeavor to “police themselves and police the community” as well for a concerted crime prevention effort for much of personal security depends on a person’s vigilance. (PIA/ESS)
