DWCHS ’93 and LGU Maribojoc holds Operation ‘Tuli’

DWCHS Batch ’93 organized very successful Operation Tuli sponsored by Auza.Net, Dolan, Pediatrica Inc., Pharma Link Sales, Pasonangka and Normita Romero-Beeching in cooperation with LGU Maribojoc on May 10, 2009 at the Maribojoc Cultural Center. Aside from the free circumcisions, there were also free dental extractions and free eye examinations.

Operation Tuli

DWC HS Batch '93 President Dr. Elva Evasco-Auza performs a routine circumcision during the 'Operation Tuli' at Maribojoc Cultural Center organized by their batch.

DWC HS Batch ’93 President Dr. Elva Evasco-Auza, in an interview after the activity, said that 135 boys aged between 7 to 12 were circumcised on that day. LGU-Maribojoc Mayor Jun Evasco thanked the batch for making Maribojoc a venue of their community service activity. The LGU provided additional manpower from its health centers and general services office. Nursing students from Holy Name University and University of Bohol also participated and assisted the doctors in performing the circumcisions.

The free eye examination was conducted by Dr. Eumere Malalis while the free dental examination was conducted by Dr. Anthony Vitorillo. The activity also was sponsored in part by individual contributions from Mr. Atoy Torralba, Mr. Ryard Jerard Paig and Raysan Pilayre

Batch ’93 officers presented certificates of appreciation to the various individuals who contributed their time and skills to make the activity successful. The doctors and professionals who kindly provided their services for free are as follows: Dr. Faye Candice Sun, DPSP; Dr. Luci Diane Ejercito, Dr. Lynette Rodriguez, Mr. Hector Rodriguez, Dr. Jerome Rosal, Dr. Rey Belderol, Dr. Shary May Manuta-Baton, Dr. Reynald Rances and Dr. Elva Evasco-Auza.
