Si Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Kalihim Judy Taguiwalo mismo ang nitunol sa plaque of recognition ug ganting salapi nga nagkantidad og P30,000.00 ngadto sa Pamilya Garay isip national winner sa Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya 2016.
Ang top 5 finalists nga napili gikan sa 18 ka Regional winners mao ang: Pamilya Bulso gikan sa Dipaculao, Aurora; Pamilya Castillo sa Lemery, Batangas; Pamilya Masamoc sa Aroroy, Masbate; Pamilya Tacda sa Nueva Valencia, Guimaras; ug Pamilya Garay sa Jagna, Bohol.
Ang national awarding gipahigayon sa syudad sa Quezon niadtong Oktubre 1 nga gitunong sa culmination sa Family Week celebration nga gisaulog matag katapusan nga semana sa Setyembre.
Si Vicente ug Marissa Garay, gikan sa Can-upao, lungsod sa Jagna ning lalawigan adunay pito ka anak.
Si Ivy ang ilang kamagulangan, gipaabot nga matapos sa electrical engineering karong bulana. Sunod niya si Rose Marie nga naa na karon sa 3rd year college nga nikuha sa kursong Bachelor of Education. A TOTAL of 230 out of 346 barangays in Bohol’s 2nd District are now building barangay halls, expanding or adding rooms to existing ones or building multipurpose buildings that also serve as evacuation centers in case of calamities.
This after Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado gave these barangays an average of P700,000 each from the amount he inserted into the budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the current General Appropriations Act (GAA).
Aumentado expressed confidence that he will complete the distribution to the remaining 116 barangays within this, his second term as congressman.
Just like his namesake father and immediate congressional predecessor Erico Boyles Aumentado, the son said the amount is for counter-parting with the funds of the concerned barangay and such other funds that it may source elsewhere. This way, the solon explained, the barangay can build bigger projects.
He cited the barangay hall and covered court of Sto, Niño, Inabanga now under construction costing P850,000 and P2 million respectively.
The covered court can double as an evacuation center should the need arise. Aumentado said this realization came in the heels of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Bohol on October 15, 2013.
He explained that while scientists have said an earthquake of such magnitude strikes only once in around 100 years, Bohol cannot discount the probability of, God forbid, floods, typhoons, fires and other calamities. This prompted him to pursue the construction of multipurpose buildings with rain collectors.
The rain collectors can provide water especially in islands. The stored water buttresses the supply from artesian and deepwells, or even from waterworks systems. The latter will save the barangays in payments for water bills. It can even be the main source should the waterworks pumps break down.
Other barangays, he said, added rooms to their barangay hall to double as a meeting place for say, women’s organizations. Still others are allocating one room to serve as office, meeting place and clinic for barangay health workers to give first aid to residents who might need immediate attention while waiting for transportation to the hospital.
Corollary to this, Aumentado is also distributing medical equipment to the barangays. This time, the funds are from the Department of Health (DOH). The equipment include, but are not limited to, weighing scales, stretchers, blood pressure apparatus and nebulizer.

Boholano photography enthusiasts joined the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk-Tagbilaran which started from Chillpill Cafe in CPG East Avenue and concluded at the K of C Recreation Center on October 1, 2016. The group of around 35 professional and budding photographers participated in the international Photowalk celebration of Scott Kelby which has been running at its 9 years.
The activity was organized by local walk leaders with a theme to capture street life and foster camaraderie among photographer’s community. It was sponsored by the Bohol Bloggers Collective, FORGE Inc. and Bright Learning Center ( Kumon K of C – Tagbilaran). The youngest walker is 4 year old Joshua Auza who uses his tablet to capture images. He received a special recognition and a Php100 gift coupon from Chillpill Cafe.

The local leader of Tagbilaran City photowalk incorporated the Opening of Childrens Month highlighting the advocacy of Anti Child Pornography and Anti Human Trafficking were in asking the photowalkers to invite friends and family to take part in the annual celebration.
“This years walk is about highlighting the power of photography and photographers to convey a message that a family that stood together against Child Pornography and Human Trafficking is a family that strengthens the morals of the society. Thats why we invite all photographers with DSLR or phone camera to join us,” Jumjum Ouano of FORGE, Inc. – Local walk leader.
The activity ended with a small gathering and awarding for minor prizes. A local exhibit and at the same time awarding of the photowalk prizes for local selection is up for at the last week of the month. At the same time the photo-walkers output can be viewed publicly.
The participants concluded the event at the K of C recreation center with a short message from Jerome Auza, a participant and an amateur photographer.

Giingong nahisgotan usab nila sa Vietnamese President ang pagresolba sa tensiyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) diin usa usab ang Vietnam sa mga claimants sa giilogang teritoryo.
Kauban usab sa nasabotan sa duha ka lider ang unom ka tuig nga strategic partnership nga magsugod sa 2017.
Samtang subling gipasalamatan ni Presidente Duterte ang mga Pinoy nga iyang gikaatubang sa Vietnam ug gisaaran niini nga tumanon niya ang iyang mga giingong pagpadagan sa usa ka limpyo nga nasod ubos sa iyang termino.
