Geeks on a Beach Offers 20% Discount Until June 30

The organizers of the international conference Geeks on a Beach 4 (www.geeksonabeach.com) currently offers a 20% discount on the registration fee until June 30, 2016. Event Aspects Brings Peter Pan Musical to Cebu

On June 11-12, 2016, Event Aspects, in collaboration with Events International, a production company that produce international concerts and theatrical shows, brought to the country the first Philippine staging of “PETER PAN: A Musical Adventure​” last June 11­-12, 2016, at SM Seaside City­ Centerstage. ​

Mr. Paul Hammond, the highly­ experienced director and distinguished creative entertainment producer, directed the show. The performers are professional actors and actresses from the widely­known mainstream theaters in West End of London and they just had their successful shows in India, Thailand, Vietnam and some parts of Europe.

The show was well loved by the audience with children enthusiastically cheering on Peter Pan, Tinker bell and Wendy as they fought with Captain Hook and his pirate crew.

At the end of the show, the cast posed for souvenir pictures with the audience.

Gov Chatto Hosts Bohol ICT Sectoral Discussion

Balilihan, Bohol – Gov. Edgar M. Chatto hosted the Bohol ICT sectoral discussion at the Balilihan Congressional District Library, Balilihan, Bohol on June 15, 2016. The event was organized by the Bohol Investments Promotion Center under the leadership of Ms. Inday Dominise.

The participants were representatives from Bohol ICT Council, Bohol Chamber of Commerce, DOST, DTI, DepEd, TESDA, BEPO, PPDO, Telco officers, Tagbilaran City LGU, BISU, Geeks on a Beach organizing team, BICTU and other representatives of various offices.

Ms. Lai Biliran presented the opportunities in the IT-BPM Industry and other sectors in the Philippine Digital Economy. Telco representatives discussed the plans of improving the Internet service in the province. The venue also happened to be very challenging area for deploying Internet and telecommunications service being surrounded by high terrain and without wired telco facilities yet.

The organizing committee of Geeks on a Beach also presented the details about the coming international technology conference to be held in Bellevue Hotel in Panglao, Bohol on August 25-26, 2016.

MANILA, June 17 (PIA)–Gi-uswag pa sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) taman Hunyo 30 ang pagsumiter sa Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) sa mga kandidatong midagan sa milabay nga piniliay.

Sa boto nga 4-3, gihatagan og pagtagad sa Comelec en banc ang hangyo sa Liberal Party nga e-extend ang deadline sa pagsumiter sa SOCE.

Apil sa mga nibotar sa pag-uswag sa deadline sila commissioners Arthur Lim, Al Parreño, Sheriff Abas, ug Rowena Guanzon.

Kini bisan pa sa rekomendasyon ni Campaign Finance Office commissioner-in-charge Christian Robert Lim nga dili angay hatagan og higayon ang hangyo sa LP tungod kay dili kini patas alang sa ubang kandidato ug partido nga misunod sa gitakdang deadline.

Kahinumdoman nga niadtong Martes lang naka-sumiter og SOCE ang Liberal Party, unom ka adlaw human sa orihinal nga gitakdang deadline nga Hunyo 8.

Sa tanang mga kandidato sa pagka-presidente, si LP standard bearer Mar Roxas lamang ang wala pa naka-sumiter og SOCE.
