TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Sept. 20 (PIA)–Tungod kay usa na ka balaod human gilagdaan ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III ang Anti-Bullying Act, giseguro sa Department of Education (DepEd) nga hugot kini nilang ipatuman.
Dungan niini, gidayeg sa DepEd si Presidente Aquino sa paglagda sa Republic Act 10627 o ang “Anti-Bullying Act of 2013” tungod kay daku kining tabang sa kasamtangang polisiya sa DepEd nga proteksyon sa mga tinun-an.
“The Anti-Bullying Law is a big boost in our continuing push to develop our schools into a safe and caring learner-centered institution,” pahayag pa ni DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro.
Pagasugdan na sa DepEd ang paghimo sa implementing rules and regulations (IRR) niini pinaagi sa pakigkonsulta sa mga ginikanan, magtutudlo ug uban pang sektor.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Sept. 20 (PIA)–Usa ka balaodnon ang giduso gahapon sa Senado nga nagtinguhang hatagan og 14th-month pay ang tanang mga empleyado sa nasud.
Ubos sa Senate Bill 1645, na giduso ni Senator Vicente Sotto III, makadawat ang mga “rank-and-file” nga mga empleyado og dugang nga midyear pay matag tuig.
Matud pa sa maong balaodnon, dili angay mo-ubos sa katunga sa sweldo sa empleyado ang 14th-month pay.
Matud pa ni Sotto, kinahanglan ang 14th-month pay tungod kay dili na igo ang sweldo sa mga kawani sa nagkasaka nga presyo sa mga panaliton. Giingong ang kasamtangang 13th-month pay mahurot lamang sa galastohan matag Pasko.

The government has not set a timetable when to end the Zamboanga City standoff but assured the public that security forces will continue to push forward until all the hostages are freed, the Palace said on Friday.
“On the side of the government, we will continue to push forward what we have been doing in the past days, which is to make sure that none of the citizens are harmed or put in harm’s way,” Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said in a press briefing in Malacanang on Friday.
The military and the police will continue to constrict the movements of the rebels and the President has asked for an inquiry to determine why the MNLF fighters still have the resources to wage battle after more than a week of fighting.
“The President has also asked to check, to look into reports… iyong tuluy-tuloy ang supply or bakit parang hindi nauubusan ng supply? He has asked some officials to look into that as well,” Valte said.
The military and the police have also started clearing operations and have requested for the assistance of barangay officials to determine the identity of people staying in evacuation centers to make sure that no rebels were among those present in temporary shelters.
Asked if the President’s presence in Zamboanga was a sign for the immediate conclusion of the standoff, Valte said his presence was a manifestation of the President’s resolve to be with the residents until the crisis is over.
“The President’s presence there is testament really to his statement to the people of Zamboanga City na hindi namin kayo iiwan, nandito kami para i-extend lahat ng puwedeng gawin ng pamahalaan para sa inyo,” she said. (PND)

Matud pa ni BIR Commissioner Kim Henares, mangayo sila og kopya sa reklamo nga gipasaka sa Department of Justice (DOJ) ug National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Ombudsman ug aron susihon kun nagbayad ba og saktong buwis ang mga nag-atubang sa kasong plunder, malversation ug uban pa.
Apan gitata ni Henares nga wala kini nagpasabot nga mopasaka sila dayon og kasong tax evation.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released P578 million for the construction and completion of classrooms nationwide, in line with the Aquino Administration’s goal to close the nationwide classroom gap this year.
The funding—released to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and chargeable against the budget for Basic Education Facilities FY 2013—will support the construction of more classrooms across the country, especially in areas experiencing acute classroom shortage.
“Even as the 2014 budget is already being deliberated in Congress, the DBM continues to implement the current year’s budget so that the timely and efficient delivery of social services isn’t compromised.
“This latest release underscores President Aquino’s commitment to ensure that our public schools have enough well-built classrooms for our students. The Administration continues to work to stay on-track in providing key educational facilities, especially in hard-to-reach and far-flung areas where the classroom shortage has gone unaddressed for too long,” DBM Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad said.
Students in Region III will benefit the most from the P578 million release with a P171 million allocation. This is followed by Regions VII and XII with allotments of P95 million and P52 million, respectively.
In addition, P47 million has been allocated for the students in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) that would help provide for much-needed classrooms in the region. (DBM)
