TAGBILARAN CITY, July 14 (PIA)–Nihatag og mga pahinumdom ang Commission on Elections (COMELEC) sa mga nagplanong molansar sa brangay ug Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.
Base sa gipagawas nga Resolution No. 10151 sa COMELEC, gitakda nila ang pagsang-at og certificates of candidacy (COC) sa mga modagan sa barangay ug SK elections sa Oktubre 3 hangtud 5 lamang.
Kalabot niini, mahatagan lamang ang mga kandidato gikan Oktubre 21 hangtud 29 aron mangampanya.
Pahinumdom pa usab sa COMELEC, ipatuman na sa panahon sa campaign period ang mga ginadili matag panahon sa piniliay sama sa pagpanghatag og mga donasyon, paggamit sa mga armadong sakyanan, ug bisan ang pagpahigayon og mga konstraksiyon sa mga kalsada ug uban pa.
Apan wala man gibawalan ang pagpahigayon og mga panagpulong sa barangay o sa mga kandidato.

Mahimo nang ma-download ang maong app sa mga mobile phones diin makita didto kun pila ang mabayran sa usa ka OFW sa mga ipadala nila base sa gideklarang kantidad niini.
Gamit ang mobile app, ibutang lamang ang pangalan sa brand, pilion kun unsang kategorya, ang gidaghanon ug kantidad sa mga napalit nga gamit.
I-save aron mahibaw-an kun pila ang kantidad sa tax ug duties nga angay bayran.
Segun sa balaod, tanang mga gamit nga gipalit sa gawas sa nasod buhisan sa BoC.
Apil na niini ang mga bag, sapatos, relo, alahas, pahumot, laptop, ug uban pa.

MANILA, July 13 (PIA)–Gitahasan na ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte si Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Kalihim Martin Andanar nga pangunahan ang usa ka multi-agency task force nga tuyong imbestigahan ang serye sa mga pagpatay sa mga mamamahayag sa nasod.

Sa gipahigayong press briefing sa Malakanyang kagahapon, miingon si Abella nga gi-andam na ang draft memorandum apan wala kini miingon kun kanus-a ipagawas ug kanus-a sugdan ang pagpatuman niini.
Gipasabot ni Abella nga ang maong lakang parte pa gihapon sa pagtumbok sa mga nagsilbing protektor sa ilegal nga droga ug mahimong basehan usab aron mahibaw-an kun adunay ‘neglect of duty’ o pagpabaya ang mga lokal nga opisyal mao nga mikatap ang operasyon sa droga sa ilang nasakupan.
Wala pa usab gitumbok ni Abella kun unsa ang mahimong liability sa mga lokal nga opisyal nga mapamatud-ang nagpabaya sa katungdana mao nga mikatap ang problema sa droga sa ilang lugar.

11 July 2016. Over 1,389 local government units will participate in the 4th Annual Regional Competitiveness Summit slated on 14 July 2016, 10:00 o’clock in the morning at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, where National Competitiveness Council (NCC) will recognize the most competitive cities, municipalities and provinces.
The summit will highlight the results of the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index 2016, which ranks local government units (LGUs) across the country based on their performance on three pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure Awards will be conferred to LGUs in four categories: 3rd to 6th Class Municipalities, 1st to 2nd Class Municipalities, Component Cities, and Highly Urbanized Cities. An award for the Most Competitive Province and Most Improved City and Municipality will also be given this year.
The NCC hopes that this annual report will enable LGUs to evaluate their performance yearly and share best practices across the regions. This will also allow them to benchmark their performance against local and global standards and make transformative and well-informed decisions towards sustainable development.
Apart from the awarding ceremony, the CMCI website containing the data provided by the LGUs will also be unveiled. The data may be used by potential investors in deciding where to locate their businesses. More importantly, the data may be used as a tool for policy making, planning, governance, budget management, and investment promotion.

BOHOL, July 7 (PIA)–The Provincial Government of Bohol won the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Gawad Tugas Award for land patent issuance.
Bohol was among the national government agencies, partner private companies, local government units (LGUs) and non-government organizations (NGOs) awarded during the 2nd Gawad Tugas Awarding Ceremony held at Marcelo B. Fernan Cebu Press Center in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City on June 30.
With the provincial government support, thousands of agricultural and residential patents issued in Bohol largely enabled the DENR to exceed its targets for the region last year.
“This is the second year of the Gawad Tugas Award, which was initiated by the DENR 7 starting last 2015 to seriously take recognition of our partners’ efforts and sound environmental practices beyond their normal responsibilities and functions,” said DENR 7 Director Dr. Isabelo R. Montejo, in his message to the awardees.
Gawad Tugas intends to promote and replicate good environmental practices done by the awardees and recognize institutions, which have made significant and outstanding contribution in the protection, conservation and management of the environment and natural resources.
“Gawad Tugas symbolizes our hardest efforts to combat environmental degradation similar to a molave or tugas, which is touted as one of the hardest wood,” Montejo said.
Montejo also emphasized the need to work together with various stakeholders in meeting its mandate and goals to ensure the protection, conservation and preservation of the environment while addressing poverty alleviation.
