Centralized alert system alang sa kalamidad, gilusad sa DILG
MANILA, Nov. 03 (PIA)–Gilusad sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ning bag-o lang ang CHARLIE, usa ka centralized alert system nga mogamit sa local response strategies alang sa mas maayong disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM).
Tungod niini, ang mga mayor ug ilang konstituwente magiyahan matag-lakang sa dili pa moabot, kasamtangang naigo ug human maigo ang usa ka lugar sa kalamidad.
“Let’s make disaster preparedness more understandable,” matud pa ni DILG Secretary Manuel Roxas II atol sa paglusad sa CHARLIE sa kaulohan niadtong Biyernes.
Gamit sa best practices sa Philippine National Police (PNP), Office of Civil Defense (OCD) ug Department of Science and Technology (DOST), si Roxas nipakita sa flowchart nga maoy mogiya sa mga lungsod ug mga mayor sa syudad sa paghimo og “minimum critical preparations” sa panahon sa kalamidad.
“You can treat this as a checklist of what has to be there at the very least. It’s hard to act while confused. The chance of confusion in coordinating disaster response is high,” pasabot ni Roxas.
Gisagop ang signaling system sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), ang usa ka lugar ideklarar ubos sa CHARLIE status kun kini dayag sa ‘highest risk’ tungod sa bagyo o linog.
