Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), a pro-poor project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, was ranked first by the World Bank in fund disbursement among 12 World Bank-funded projects in the country during its 2009 Portfolio Review held last month.
DSWD Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral disclosed that as of June 30, 2009, KALAHI-CIDSS has already disbursed US $90.4 million of its US $100 million fund allocation from the World Bank.
Cabral added that the high disbursement rate means that communities have meticulously complied with their project detailed estimates, procurement action plans and other technical documents. (DSWD/SMS/degs)
