The National Food Authority (NFA) deploys rolling stores in at least 10 towns in the province to better access government subsidized rice. NFA-Bohol Assistant Manager Ma. Fe Evasco said that starting this week at least 10 towns will benefit to the said cheap government rice. Evasco added that aside from the rolling store are seven new stationary outlets operated by the local government and each will give away a weekly allocation of sixty bags. The rolling store, Evasco said, will be selling rice @P18.25 per kilo while the imported variety will be distributed @P25 per kilo. The installation of rolling stores in designated towns was the food agency’s response to the request of some Barangay officials, to make rice selling accessible to consumers in the remote areas.
