President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo extends gun amnesty program for one more month through Executive Order No. 817-A, stipulating the extension period from November 1 to 30, 2009.
During this extension period, individual and juridical entities may renew their expired firearms licenses or register their unregistered firearms with the Philippine National Police.
Gun amnesty is a part of the Philippine National Police’s ongoing efforts to keep guns off the streets. (PIA)
