The Department of Agriculture(DA) ensures that there won’t be any worries for the Filipino consumers because there is enough supply nationwide.
According to DA Secretary Arthur Yap, there will however be a price increase but this is normal based on the climate change from rainy season to dry season.
In fact, the small price increase, will help farmers since it will also increase the purchase of their rice.
“Even in the good race in agriculture, we should be wary for other businessmen who will take advantage,” says Yap.
It is also believed that added supply since it is harvest time next month.(aee/ PIA-Bohol)
