Mayor Bobbsie Uy of Baclayon says that the source of the decline in dolphins, in Pamilacan, Baclayon and Balicasag, Panglao, are the unlicensed boat operators. Mayor Uy suggest that we should draft a law that should be followed by all boat operators who will bring tourist to dolphin watching sites. The suggestion was passed to the chairman of Bohol Marine Triangle, Mayor Luciano Bongalos to implement the to-be-drafted law for the safety of the seas and tourism as well.
Tourism giants also fear that dolphins will disappear if this issue will not be tackled immediately.
