MALAMPUSON ang tumong sa lakaw ni President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sa Syria, kon ang basehan mao ang pagtugot sa Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) nga mamahimong observer sa mga kasabutan sa mga nasud nga Muslim.
Sa samang pagtugot, nakab-ot sa Pilipinas ang mas lapad nga tsansang masuportahan sa pangindahay niini nga kab-oton ang tunhay nga kalinaw sa Mindanao, nga karon gihulga sa kagubot sa mga bahan nga Muslim.
Subay sa taho, si Press Secretary Cerge Remonde mibutyag nga may 57 ka Muslim nga nasud ang sakop sa OIC. Dugang niya, may komitiba na nga naghipno sa pamaagi sa pagsulod sa Pilipinas sa umaabot nga tigum sa OIC sa Mayo 23-25.

GIDEPENSAHAN ni Cabinet Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang mga byahe sa gawas ni President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo nga miani na ug pagsaway sa oposisyon isip pagwaldas sa kwarta sa kagamhanan.
Matud ni Bello, ang lakaw sa Presidente naghimog kaayohan sa nasud ilabi na sa pagpangitag kasudlang trabaho sa mga Pinoy, pagpasulod sa negosyo ug pagtagik sa relasyon sa mga nasud.

MAY pagtugot na sa Malakanyang ang laraw sa mga abogado sa nasud nga mopasaka’g kaso batok sa mga ahensya sa kagamhanan nga milapas sa mga balaod alang sa kalikopan.
Si Cabinet Secretary Silvestre Bello III mibungat nga kon may legal nga basehan ang mga abogado nga pasakaag sumbong ang mga ahensya, dili magpugong ang Palasyo.
Gipasabot niya nga mismo si Presidente Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, migahin na sa matag Biyernes alang sa pagtubag sa mga environmental concerns, ug kini maoy iyang rason nganong mouyon ang Presidente sa laraw sa mga abogado.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo cited the crucial role Syria plays in bringing peace and stability to southern Philippines, this she said as she arrived in the world’s oldest city.
The Philippine delegation led by the President Syria courts the help of Syria, the current chair of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and one of the most influential groups in the Arab world.
She said, to achieve a lasting peace in Mindanao will require the collective efforts of the Philippine Government and friends and allies around the world.
Syria would also be hosting the 36th Islamic Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and wants to be admitted as observer in its efforts to get the peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front on track.
To attain peace and progress in Mindanao, the President said the Philippine government has been enlisting the support of Muslim nations including OIC-member states.(PIA)

Speaking for the government, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo told 17,000 Syria-based OFWs that government looks after their interests by strengthening diplomatic relations with Middle East countries.
She added that supporting expatriates displaced by the global economic crisis, is another way of serving OFWs.
The President told the Filipino expats that the government launched the P1-billion Filipino Overseas Livelihood Support Fund for loan and livelihood availment for workers stirred by global crisis.
In her dialogue with Syrian President Bashir Al Assad, both heads of states also agreed to strengthen political consultations as well as put up a joint Filipino – Syrian Business Council to be a venue for tackling trade issues. (PIA)
