Gi-alerto ang FDA kabahin sa maong produkto sa usa ka konsomedor nga nitaho pinaagi sa FDA facebook (https://facebook.com/FDAPhilippines).
Ang maong taho ang nakapa-aghat sa Field Regulatory Officers sa gitumbok nga rehiyon sa pagpahigayon og product monitoring ug pagkuha og samples.
Sa inisyal nga pagsusi, nakita nga ang maong produkto walay English translation, usa ka paglapas sa A.O. 88-B s. 1984 o The Rules and Regulations Governing the Labeling of Prepackaged Food Products Distributed in the Philippines which provides “that in case of imported food products wherein the label information are declared in foreign language, the label must also carry the corresponding English translation, otherwise such products shall not be permitted for local distribution.”

MALACAÑANG on Monday said it is undaunted by the findings of a Pulse Asia survey showing 43 percent of Filipinos consider themselves worse off in December 2013 compared to December 2012, adding it will continue to work for inclusive growth.
Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said such a perception is “understandable” because of the natural and manmade calamities that hit the country in the last quarter of 2013.
“Like (President Benigno Aquino III) said, these are perceptions and we recognize these perceptions (are) very understandable in 2013. Tuloy ang trabaho namin, we will not be daunted by that survey (As President Benigno Aquino III said, these are perceptions and we recognize them. We will continue our work for inclusive growth, we will not be daunted by that survey),” Lacierda said at a media briefing.
He was responding to questions surrounding the survey of Pulse Asia conducted Dec. 8 to 15 last year.
In that survey, 43 percent of Filipinos said they are worse off while 41 percent said their situation remained unchanged. Only 15 percent said their quality of life improved.
Lacierda, however, maintained the President is not governed by surveys and will continue to “do the right thing” even if such a thing is unpopular. (PND)

Base sa FDA Advisory 2014-005 ni FDA chief Kenneth Hartigan-Go, gipasidan-an niini ang publiko batok sa pagpalit og “Onami” slimming underwear products nga giingong maka-detoxify sa lawas ug sunugon niini ang body fats.
“All consumers are hereby warned against buying the said unregistered product from the market or through online,” matud pa sa advisory.
Una niini, nadiskubre sa FDA ang pagpamantala sa maong produkto nga daghang benepisyo ang gihikyad sama sa pag-detoxify sa lawas ug pagsunog sa body fats, pagpalig-on sa immune system, pagpakusog sa metabolismo, makadugang sa mental alertness, makatangtang sa fatigue ug stress, ug mga sakit, ug makapawala og body odor.
Apan matud pa sa FDA, dili rehistrado sa ilang buhatan ang maong produkto ug wala usab kini clinical o scientific studies aron magpamatuod sa mga therapeutic claims niini.

MANILA, Jan. 20, 2014 (PIA)–Taliwala sa nagkadaghang kaso sa tipdas sa nasud, wala gi-rekomendar sa Department of Health (DOH) ang pagpalit og mga tambal ug bakuna sa mga online shop tungod kay posibleng peke ang produktong mapalit.
Matud pa ni DOH Assistance Secretary Eric Tayag, mas maayo pa gihapon nga moadto sa mga health center o doktor aron masusi ug mabakunahan.
“Huwag kayong kukuha ng bakunang peke… pumunta po kayo sa health center o kaya sa linsensyadong doktor para ‘di kayo naloloko,” matud pa ni Tayag.
Gitataw usab ni Tayag nga libre lamang og walay bayad ang pagpabakuna sa mga health centers.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Jan. 17 (PIA)–The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Bohol Field Office is now accepting applications for the Career Service Professional and Sub-Professional Paper-and-Pencil Test to be conducted in Tagbilaran City on April 6, 2014, the first career service examination schedule for the year.
Deadline for submission of application is on February 20, 2014.
The CSE Professional level is a general ability test that aims to measure verbal, analytical and numerical abilities, while the Sub-Professional level aims to measure verbal, numerical and clerical skills. Both levels have general information questions on the Philippine Constitution, government work ethics (R.A. 6713), human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection. Passing grade is 80.00.
Those who are interested to take the said examination may visit the CSC office at Circumferencial Road, Tagbilaran City.
Applicants must bring 4 passport-size photos with handwritten (not computer-generated) full name tag in front with a signature over the name; P500 exam fee; and the original and photocopy of any valid ID containing the applicant’s clear picture, date of birth, and signature.
Only the following IDs will be honored: Driver’s license, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Philhealth ID, current company/office/school ID, Postal ID, BIR ID, Barangay ID, Voter’s ID, Valid passport or Police clearance.
